It is a learning process

When I first joined my current company, I was asked to run some on-live and random tests on the model I had at that time. After noticing that the model didn't do well in that sets, I felt bad and eager to have some fixes on the model to make it look better. However, I was asked to send out the results immediately. It was very frustrating because I used the results as an indicator of my performance, and believed that I was much better than that. A senior person in the team told me that, making the product is not a one-time thing, but an iterative process with the countless loop of:

prototype -> failed at some point -> fixed it -> failed on some cases -> fixed it -> ...

It is a learning process. Our goal is not to have a perfect solution, but to keep making the product better.

I am grateful that I learned it in the early stage of my career.
