Chap 1. Tools for developers

Useful tools facilitate the workflow in an unimaginable way. Go ahead and expose yourself to the "right" people/tools.

It is not another blog that collects the tools anywhere and puts them here as an ad. All the tools mentioned here, I have tried and am actively using in my daily work/life.

Not matter you are an experienced or entry-level developer, go thru The Missing Semester of Your CS Education (https://missing.csail.mit.edu/2019 . or https://missing.csail.mit.edu/2020 ) at your pace will be useful.

  • For experienced developers, the best way to improve workflow would be, build your own infrastructure, list the items, identify the bottom neck, and work on the specific items. The notes here could serve as a reference.

  • For entry-level developers, start from the tools below, keep the ones you like, and keep trying new tools(recommend to me if you find good ones ). It is definitely worth the time.
